Home Repair Priorities
Tom O'Dwyer
So you decided to purchase a new (used) home, congratulations!
Chances are you're looking to get started on home improvement projects and repairs as soon as you close. But which repairs should you perform first? What takes priority?
It's likely that your home inspector provided you with a list of the homes deficiencies. At HomePort we believe that is not enough.
At the conclusion of a HomePort inspection, we provide our clients with a thorough and detailed home inspection report. This report includes all details of the home, highlighting key deficiencies and issues. These issues are prioritized focusing on Safety, Structural, and then Aesthetics. The HomePort inspector then takes the time to discuss the scope of these issues, including a detailed walkthrough throughout the home.
The following article published by Yahoo Homes references a list of mandatory home repairs, these issues take priority and should never be put off:

If you're looking for an inspection, or have any questions in regard to the purchase of a home please let me know. Thanks!
